D2C assisted with analyzing and evaluating the current facilities, proposed sites, extensive user group interviews, phasing opportunities and complete planning, programming and master planning for two separate projects.
The first project is a new 27,128 SF facility that includes the Town of Mead’s administrative staff offices, a library, future library expansion, event space, public gathering spaces, kitchen, cafe, gallery, administration spaces and break room. D2C engaged in master planning the site, programming, space planning and design concepts. The site master plan included incorporating in a future 20,000 SF recreation center and creating a pedestrian and bicycle friendly site with current and future accommodations.
The second project is the new Public Works facilities with D2C engaging in programming, planning and site planning services. The scope included determining the long term needs of the department, phased planning and conceptual design for a new, final build out of a 20,475 SF, single-story structure for the Public Works Administration and 13,135 SF mechanical shop with ten service bays.
