D2C Architects Is Currently Looking For:
POSITION SUMMARY + RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working as a member of the design team in a collaborative and hands-on environment to develop drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.
- Preparation of documentation in Revit (and in rare instance AutoCAD) throughout all phases of assigned projects (Programming, Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents).
- Involvement in Construction Administration support services, including the review and response to RFIs and submittals, issuing addendum, participating in OAC meetings and on-site job observation, and creating field reports.
- Project Research.
- Assist with all aspects of full-scope project design and management.
- Coordination and potential management of sub-consultants and outside engineering team members (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, etc.).
- Ensure that information is communicated clearly, accurately and in a visual appealing manner and in alignment with the firm’s overall brand.
EXPERIENCE + SKILLSETS
- 3+ years working experience in an architectural firm
- 3+ years of strong Revit experience in an architectural office working on commercial projects
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, SketchUp, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Microsoft Project, and other industry software (Preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication, collaborative, flexible, outgoing, and performs well in a team-oriented environment.
- Well-versed in programming, conceptual design, and schematic design with strong technical skills in creating construction documents.
- Experience with Construction Administration support services.
- Experience in working on multiple projects at any given time, coordinating multiple disciplines and engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of building codes, ADA, and other AHJ requirements.
- Creative, Self-Driven, Collaborative, Motivated, and Natural Problem Solver.
- Interpersonal skills with an ability to cultivate and maintain productive working relationships.
- Experience in the commercial architecture industry surrounding:

- Federal Government projects (DoD, DoE, USACE, ARNG, ANG, etc.)
- Industrial Storage and Warehouse Facilities

- Professional Registration (RA or AIA) is NOT required for this position. However, candidates who are actively working through NCARB’s Architectural Experience Program (AXP) and seeking future licensure are encouraged to apply.

EDUCATION
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or emphasis (associates degree, minor, etc.) in Architecture.

- Direct the design team on vision and intent and assist the team with material selection, building aesthetics, functionality, and operational characteristics.
- Working as a member of the design team in a collaborative and hands-on environment to develop drawings and specifications for bidding and construction.

- 5+ years of Architectural (A-E) Experience as a Licensed Architect.
- 5+ years of strong Revit experience in an architectural office working on commercial projects
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, SketchUp, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Microsoft Project, and other industry software (Preferred).
- Superior verbal and written communication, collaborative, flexible, outgoing, and performs well in a team-oriented environment.
- Technically sound experience with all phases of commercial architecture design projects from project setup, programming, and all phases of design (Programming, Master Planning, Site Planning, Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, etc.) through construction administration.
- Strong technical skills creating design documentation, specifications and performing construction administration services. Must be proficient in current construction administrative procedures for various delivery methods (design-bid-build, CM/GC, Design-Build).
- Proficient Detailing and redlining skills
- Experience in the commercial architecture industry surrounding
- Municipal and State Government projects (Administrative Office Buildings, Public Safety Projects, Fire Stations, Police Stations, Courthouses, Search and Rescue, Public Works, Vehicle Maintenance and Storage, etc.)

EDUCATION

- 3 years as a licensed Architect with Project Management Experience with a vast array of project types and sizes.
- Proficient REVIT skills.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ROLE:

ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES:
- Ideally the candidate will have experience in the commercial architecture industry surrounding Federal government projects, Municipal/ Civic projects, Public Safety (Fire and Police), Vehicle centric based projects (public works, dealerships) administrative office buildings, and or other general commercial architecture experience.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, BlueBeam, SketchUp, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and other industry software is a plus.
