The new Wings Over the Rockies, Blue Sky Gallery museum hangar was designed and built to preserve the history of more than four dozen aircraft and space vehicles. Complete with a “Ready for Take Off” Gallery, an Exploration Flight Center, Accelerate/Flight Ops Space, Aircraft Technology Center, Administrative Offices, Meeting and Conference Room Space and more, this facility stands ready to take all passengers through a journey in time.
This is an active aircraft hangar and educational outreach, where active aircraft rotate through the year, displaying their unique attributes and characteristics. This hangar is designed for aircraft from Cesnas to WWII aircraft, to modern day military and commercial jets. Also accompanying the hangar is static display which hangs from the ceiling, showcasing the MQ-1 Predator Drone and other donated aircraft.
